What does everyone think about the older 4x4 toyota tercells?

Are they reliable? i have a friend selling one for a good price and its emaculate.

Was my first car and I will tell you I beat that thing like no other.  I would take it to places that my friends would go with their trucks and I would not have a problem..  The only problem we had with it was the clutch but that was more driver than vehicle.  I think it had 200 thousand miles on it when we sold it..  I believe it was a 89 5sp wagon with the 4 wheel drive..  I think on top of that it got like 35 mpg.

they are great cars......the only drawback is trying to find parts should you need them.  almost everything on that car is 4wd tercel specific.

It is what you meant it to be...

I had an 89   great rig and regret selling it..... would buy another, especially in great shape in a second. Good luck
