I have read the "feels like a kids bow" on a couple of other forums as well. I do not believe one can compare the feel of this bow to an aluminum riser bow; they do feel very different. The weight or lack of also takes some getting used to. But once you start hanging items on it the weight starts to add up some.  As for finish; the somewhat textured finish is probably due to fact it is injection molded carbon so therefore is not as polished as other bow risers.

This bow is also very quiet when shooting. Good luck in your search for the one that fits you..........

Just wanted to clarify that in my post above I'm not saying that Bowtech makes a bad bow, I've owned two and never had an issue. I was just returning the punch thrown by nubbs.

I've put a few through the hoyt carbon element and dayum I didn't know a bow could feel so dead on the shot.
kind of weird really. 

I liked some of the mid range bows a lot too, but that carbon hoyt was something else.

I wouldn't buy a first generation bow. Especially from a company with bowtechs track record. I would wait to buy until any bugs/flaws show up and are fixed. Plus, you know what Bowtech has up their sleeve for 2014!

Amen to that. I have only ever seen first had 3 bows blow up. 1 was a Matthews monster and 2 have been bowtech self destroyers! I have owned every major brand of bows and won't ever get into bowtech again.

I have been shooting the bear anarchy for the last 2 years. It's a great bow not my personal fave but it shoots good for me.
That being said I have enough bows laying around here that no one can say I am one sided

not me, I got an old Cabelas branded bow I bought out of a magazine 15 years ago.

I want something lighter and faster, hanging onto that heavy bow is hard on the rotator cuff I destroyed years ago

My buddy was still shooting a pro line until 2 years ago as his main hunting bow. He killed a lot of critters with it!

There's something to say for a bow that has spilled a lot of blood. You'd have a hard time prying my 82nd airborne from my hands. Not sure ill ever buy another hunting bow.

Indeed I still have every bow I have spilled major blood with. I still pick up my x force from time to time just to rip a few arrows down range. I shot over 15 animals with that bow in 3 years.

Thanks to RadSav, I'm shooting a Legion.  I can't pull more than 50lbs consistently so a lower poundage bow works great.  Quiet, smooth, I love every bit of it.  It's pass through'd deer at 45lbs of draw.  Good enough for me

I have a Hoyt as my primary bow and a Bowtech as my backup. 

I personlly like a longer axle to axle bow for hunting because of the different positions I am in while shooting at criters...   Seams like the bow companies are going as light as they can and as short axle to axle as possible to reduce the weight.

Man are you going to love the new one!  That is one fantastic hybrid cam. Same 35.5"/330 but better feel and another 1/4" in brace.  I've been messing with the yoke systems to see how much it takes to get cam lean.  It takes quite a bit to get them as crooked as the bottom cam on an everyday Hoyt. And they put the string stops on the right direction for 2014

And if you want to combine fast and smooth the Venue and Empire single cam systems are 330 IBO and daggum smooth as heck.  So nice to shoot I might be going back to a single cam this next year.  And I normally HATE single cam bows!  The new string suppressors are funky looking, but you are really going to like those too if you go with the shorter bow.  Those will be on the new 2014 340 and 350 IBO bows as well.

I am looking forward to playing with a BT Carbon Experience if they get one out by next hunting season.  But these 2014 Bear bows are really applying the heat to those who like spending lots of money for logos.  If Bear changes their grip they might run out of reasons to throw their $1,000 into a logo pile of hype.
