Did I miss the thread with the Swakane ram or are you just teasing us?
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

This is long overdue, but here are a few more pictures of the hunt, and the group of guys we went with.  In all my years of hunting with my dad, I must say that the scouting and this day's hunt were some of the best times I've had in the field.  I'm proud and feel very lucky to have been along for this ride, and enjoyed every minute of hauling that great beast up and off of that hill!

Coming down from the towers, my dad Steve on the left, our longtime hunting buddy Jim Ross on the right.

Steve scoping out the rams 340 yards below.  I was sitting next to him with the spotting scope.

The shot.  He shot from the rocks right next to us 340 yards down to the boulder just behind and to the right of the prominent tree in the photo.  The ram was standing on top of the boulder.  In the high res picture, you can actually see the other sheep still hanging out 20 yards behind the boulder.

Approaching the kill with Jimmy, Blake, and Brian.  The ram dropped right in his tracks.  It was the cleanest, most humane shot I think I've ever seen.  He hardly moved.

With Brian in the background, we could finally see our prey.  As mentioned the ram dropped right where he was.

Look at the awesome curl.

Another great front/side shot of the ram and Steve.

One more, just for good measure.
