Winston / Ryderwood
« on: September 22, 2013, 07:16:31 PM »
Looking for tent camping sites that are somewhat established or in areas that most hunting is hike in area.  My hunting group of three are not able to hunt our usual areas due to time constraints but are looking into these areas during deer season for a few nights mainly to scout for a longer hunt during elk season.  Any information would help.  I have purchased the LC sportsmaps for these locations but finding primitive camping areas is tough.  we would have a truck and small utility trailer and would like an area where we don't have to pack in all our stuff but be able to camp next to our vehicles.  These places are getting harder to find due to more and more gated roads.  I would appreciate any input.
Thanks
Doug

You can camp on the dnr land up Winston, also there is a camp ground in kid valley. The only camping I no of in ryderwood is the loins club park, but all the land around there is wayco and by permit only.
