Hello everyone, meet Ellis!
« on: September 23, 2013, 12:39:16 PM »
Ellis is my new German Shorthaired Pointer, he'll also be my first hunting dog. I get to pick him up next Saturday, I can't believe I have to wait five more days! Looking forward to working with him and having a hunting partner and friend for a long time!

I'm getting him from Don Evanson of Adventure Gundogs in Kennewick, Wa.

nice pup!!  I know Don, he's great guy and has wonderful dogs.  I bought a German shorthair from him a while back, and he gave me a weimaraner as well.

nice looking pup by the way.

Sure is cute!  Those sleeping pups sure seem to have big bellies........are they sleeping after eating a big meal?  :)
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I think my girlfriend thinks he's gonna start getting all my attention, which he probably will! Hopefully she doesn't come across these forums, but if she does!  :sry:

Spent all last night trying to get the backyard ready for him and making sure he couldn't get into anything bad! I just can't wait to get him!

Having a pup can work in your favor. Sometimes they get jealous and demand more heavy petting.. :chuckle:

Just make sure you get the ground rules established soundly with your pup! The last thing you want to feel is his eager, cold, wet nose in your bhind while you and your significant other are, well,  you know......  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
