Been looking for a trail cam, was wondering if any of you had a preferred cam you'd recommend buying

Damn near any Bushnell Trophy Cam model. Amazing Battery life, extremely easy to program, and the strap that comes with it has the capability to go around huge trees. Just write some creepy death threat on the back to scare would-be thieves and you're good to go!

I went with the moultrie, believe its called an A5... fairly basic, but good brand, about 70$ online . easy to use. video mode takes 10sec vid clips.. i'm happy with it.

Welcome! I'll let you know, Don't even bother getting the HD model, There isn't much difference between it ($269) and the 5 megapixel trophy cam ($169)

Picked one up yesterday from shopko it was on sale for $79 and I had a $10 off coupon so I got it for $69 how do you set it up and do you just use batteries or do you have the battery box

Cabela's has the 5 mp Trophy cam on sale right now for $119. I have 2 and I think I'm gonna go after work and pick up another one.

I have the Primos 46 (older model) It is ok if it is on bait but it is too slow for taking trail pics. Good battery life though.

Go out hiking and look for beat up areas with salt blocks and or feed piles. There should be at least one or two trail cameras around.

I have a 46 and it has about the fastest trigger of any of the cams I own. I definitely don't need it set up over bait.

But the issue I do have with it is every other set of pictures is too dark. Unless I have it set up in an open area where there's lots of light.

My Primos 35, however, does not have this issue. I would recommend the 35, the only downfall is battery life isn't as good as some other cameras. But it's not terrible either.

For the price I'm not sure you can beat the Truth Cam 35. I only paid $60 for mine.
