Cast & Blast

Sat of early goose found myself and a buddy on the Cowlitz casting spoons for sea run cuts and shooting honkers. Very successful day for both. We kept a limit of cuts and threw back 5X that many. Ended up with 9 geese. Fun day for sure.

Me and my brother talked about doing that but we would both be in kayaks. Not sure how I feel about hooking into a salmon in my little 9 foot kayak.

Nice. Love it when you can double on on prey. Many years ago while trolling for salmon in the lower Umpqua I shot three geese as they unsuspectingly went over (after shutting the engine off of course).
