When I saw this pic on Ian's facebook I was stoked for him for sure... initial impression was mid-high 160's for a gross score.  Then started running the numbers and had him at 178" I think gross.  Either way Ian that's a stud buck and a lot bigger than most of these guys will ever kill with a bow!  Great job and thanks for sharing bud. :)

Here's what I had his numbers at:
G1: 1.5+1.5
G2: 14+14
G3: 10.5+4
G4: 12+12
MB: 25+24
IS: 24.5
Mass: 6+6+5.5+5.5+5.5+5.5
That puts him at 177" gross....

Your missing two mass measurements. You have 6 measurements for mass and there are always 8, 4 on each side. #1 Between bur and G1, #2 between g1 and g2, #3 between G2 and G4 And #4 is on the back fork between the Main beam and were the G3 forks off. Here is the link To B&C scoring http://www.boone-crockett.org/bgRecords/bc_scoring_typmuledeer.asp?area=bgRecords&type=Typical+Mule+Deer+%26+Blacktail

Big fronts make up for smaller backs. This buck only gets about 50 inches from the back. With these guesses. Nice buck

Not to far of for looking at a picture. I would say your guesses were pretty close just missed a measurement.
