Well, since you aren't getting any help.....
For me, there are only three good things about snow when it comes to archery hunting. The first one is that the animals are easier to spot. Second, if you are hunting migratory animals, it can jump start movement. A third would be that the animals tend to feed a bit earlier. Checking my notes over the years, the does come out a bit earlier and the rest of them follow, little bucks, medium bucks, etc. So survival mode itself can bring those bucks out a bit earlier then normal.
The bad parts of snow, for me anyway, far outweigh any benefit when hunting archery unless you are hunting out of a stand or something. I don't care what kind of snow it is, it will be noisy. If it is a wet snow then freezes to put a crust on top, you can just about forget a traditional stalk. Stalk, get in about 100-120 yards and "ambush" is about the only thing I have had any success at in this kind of snow. Even if it is "sugar" snow, it will crunch. Snow can be real tough when bow hunting spot/stalk. I would rather not have it at all.
If I have a choice I would pick the early part of the rut when there is a better chance of not having any snow.
As far as Idaho goes, I am out of the woods there by Oct. 24 or 25 or so. I do see signs of the rut right around that time in the back country though.
