Young Whidbey Island buck with an attitude!
« on: September 25, 2013, 02:14:32 PM »
Go out and check the game camera I set up behind the house a few minutes ago and this is what I find! I had gone out about a half hour earlier to get it and spotted a couple deer there. I snuck off without them seeing me (or so I thought). I think the little bugger is taunting me!

Luckily for him there is a bigger fellow I have been trying to catch during the daylight hours. This is a pretty typical Whidbey Island Blacktail. At least for the ones hanging out around my place.

There some real piggies out there on the Island! I meant to say, all the deer out there are the size of dogs. Tiny little things. Not worth wasting your time on. Go to Eastern Wa if you want  a nice deer.  :chuckle:

Could also be a battle wound fighting another buck over a peice of female black tail  :chuckle: At any rate, nice black tail. If I don't have any luck in eastern, I am looking for land on Island to hunt if anyone knows any other than the base.

I'm picking up last years Island buck from the taxidermist later today. I'll post a pick when I get home.
