What do you guys think of this ranger finder, a buddy of mine has had it since June and doesn't like it and he's going to sell it to me for next to nothing. Is this a good starter range finder for me? I have never owned one.  I will mainly use it for west side modern deer, and coyotes on the east side.

Thanks

You need to look at it and see if you like it.  Ask your friend why he doesn't like his, and decide if that would bother you.

I had the 1000 yard version, which supposedly is better, and sold it.

If the price is right, you can buy it and resell if if you don't like it.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

I've got the RX 600.  I like it for muzzleloader.  It's light, cheap, and works great so far.  While glassing clearcuts it was fun to guess the ranges of stumps and trees, and check with the rangefinder to check my skills. :chuckle:  It gets good fast readings.
