It doesn't get much better than rutting bull moose in the snow.

It'd be cool to see a new state record killed this year.

Shoot, there could be a world record Shiras be killed in Washington this year I think.

Id take 70-80 deg weather anyday than this stuff for moose..the mts are covered up in low clouds and fog..makes for a real difficult time trying to see moose

We were camped in the NE this weekend and yesterday morning we woke up to grunts echoing off the hillsides.  We had a young bull walk right by our camp, raking trees and staring us down.  This should be an AMAZING moose season.   :tup:

Were headed over on Friday for my Grandfathers Moose hunt in 113. Hopefully they will be talking and moving really good by then. I love moose hunting! I bringing the old smoke pole in case a nice buck happens to poke his head out as well. Oh man I cant wait!

I didn't take any better pictures because I was busy getting myself to safety, he was angry when I started to move in on him.  I should have taken pictures of the trees and brush he was snapping and shredding.
