Disabled- Anydeer Success

Well, dads first year as a disabled Hunter. Drew his disabled hunt for Mission anydeer.
Went up last Friday Morning for the last 5days of the hunt. Hunted all Friday afternoon and evening. Sign but no deer. All morning sat, same result. A couple guys we had seen earlier drove by camp, backed up and we started talking. I told them our story, and they replied, "There's three doe just 40yds of the road 5min away." Hills in the area made it real tough for dad to cover much ground, so he said lets get one. They were nice enough to leads us right to em. Just off the road on a switch back, so we went passed em and got out. Three of them, the biggest bedded down. 125 yards, dad was uncomfortable with his 30-30 So he said I should shoot it for him. I threw out the bi-pod on my .270, laid down, and smoked her! The other two guys even helped me drag her down to the road where the picture was taken with dad. Was about the best experience we've had with other hunters. Those guys were awesome. Thanks again if your out there!! She dressed out to 90 lbs meat n bones. Steaks and sausage comin soon!!

Great job! My buddy is a disabled hunter but hasn't taken advantage of the disabled hunter program yet. He is planning on it next year. Enjoy the deer sausage!

My dad is rapidly approaching that time too.........
But he would never have let me shoot it, he would have taken my gun from me and used it.

Well, that's my ugly mug in the OP. The way my son said it, that area sure had some great people. There wasn't one person that didn't wave or nod when they passed us or we passed them. Even last week, when we were just looking for an area to hunt, we stopped by this one hunter that was loading up. He stopped and talked with us for about 10 minutes telling us all about the area and how the success was that previous week.
And, what a son. He sure took good care of me.
Not bad for my first post too.
