Totally Bummed
«

I was all set ready to go help out fellow HW member SteelyWhoopers Grandpa with is OIL Moose tag in GMU 113 but my wife gets home from work this morning and informs me that she just got a new schedule this up coming week and has minatory training at work which will move her days off so I have to watch the kids.
I am trying to find a buddy of mine that knows the unit to help out hopefully he will pull through for me. I am crushed Jesse's grandpa is 87 and told him this would be the last time he ever pulled the trigger on an animal was really looking forward to helping them with this awesome memory. I guess I'll have to view it like the rest of you here on HW.
Sorry Jesse

Can you get a babysitter? Maybe it will only take one day to help him get a bull.
You could ask him to help pay for the babysitter.

Btw, "minatory" training doesn't sound very important.

That's too bad. If we see something that we are not interested in I will get ahold of him or you!

I called one of my friends that knows that neck of the woods even better than me and he said he would help them get their bull so at least i am not going to let them down.

No worries! We are going to head over next weekend rather than the opener. We will get this all dialed in and hopefully be coming home loaded down with some good groceries. I appreciate all the help from everyone here. Gramps is not trophy hunting so if anyone sees one hanging out that they don't want to take, shoot me a pm. I will let anyone know if we see one that we cannot get to. We are pretty limited to road hunting as he is 86 and does'nt quite get around as well as he used to. We have killed moose in the past and it's way easier to get em loaded when they are close to the road anyway!

You should have no problem finding a moose in 113. Just take Bead Lk road out of Old Town Id. Go up LeClear ck rd.
