Kimber Montana in 325 WSM topped with a Swarovski 3-10x42. 200gr Barnes Triple shocks in front of 65grs of AA 3100. Its done the job on three elk in the last 5 years.As far as the 243 having more energy then the 308 isnt really that accurate. 90% of the time the 308 has more energy. But both will do the trick on an elk if used correctly.

The .243 AND .308 are even at 450 and the .243 takes over from there.
