Only way I can stand curry paste is to make it myself.  Stuff in a jar...not sure what that stuff is, but I expect that is what nuclear waste must taste like.  Easy to make good stuff if you have a coffee mill.  Emeril Lagasse has a great recipe on his website.

this is said wife..... I cook the chicken flavored rice in the rice cooker (I dont follow the directions on package to brown it in butter first. I add the amount of water and butter and cook it) and add canned spinach then cook. I've done it with beef flavored rice too. Its the only way to get the hubs to eat it.

Try using fresh spinach instead of canned, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
