The hunt was booked through Stone Mt Safaris in Toad River BC. The drive was 1345 miles from my home in eastern Wa. It took two hard days of driving to reach the lodge. We rested a day for the horses because they had just packed out the day we arrived. We made a 6 hour trail ride in through some very beautiful country but it is also quite steep in places they figure milage at around 18 miles. The first day of the hunt found us riding up a drainage toward another pass. At about an 1.5 hrs up the trail we saw a band of Stone sheep ewes and lambs. We proceeded up the trail and as I was looking around as we rode out of nowhere Mr Moose was heading your direction I could see he was legal because he had at least three brow tines on one side. At this point the guide agreed he was legal he appeared to be everything I wanted in a Canadian moose so I pulled the trigger on my 300 weatherby with 180 gr nosler E-tips and the results are what you see. Will post more pictures when I can get the camera and computer to agree.  Great trip no real bad weather that lasted that long. Would recommend Stone Mt. Safaris to anyone.
