I was out muzzle hunting for deer this past weekend. Standing by a tree checking out a set up for deer. I caught movement out the corner of my eye and a +/- 150 black bear comes in behind me and stands at 32 feet. It did not realize I was there until I pulled back the hammer.
Having shot 3 other bear in the 150 to 200 lb range, I decided I did not need this bear...unless it got attitude.
I would rather wait for a bigger bear or a buck.
It was fun to watch the bear look at me and then away several time until it finally decided the hammer sound was not all that great, and it wandered off.
