I was thinking a Medieval Catapult season. Let's face it, it would be bad-ass.
Is pistol hunting allowed in "restristed" firearm areas... and... What are restricted areas?
I think the whole west side should be scatter(slug) gun only.. Due to all the thick vegetation most shots are within 30 yards anyways..unless you're glassing and hunting a 2 year old clear cut, which those are far and few these days.

What are restricted areas?Yes you can use a revolver with a barrel 4" or longer Must be a revolver, and at least 24 Cal. Its in the regs. I've hunted BT with a .357 before, and it wasn't too bad... its cool pistol hunting.Does anyone know if the contender single shots in rifle cartridges apply to restricted areas?

Not that i doubt you Loki, But what do you have to back that up? The only reference in the regs i can see is" revolver like handguns" In the firearms restricted areas. pg 81 YET when discussing handgun hunting on page 76 it only states that 4 in of barrel and 24 cal center fire for big game except cougar. I would read that as Semi autos are legal in areas other than restricted firearm areas. I don't think it is clear from the regs how a single shot falls into this...
