Sold my M&P.45 today so I need a new pistol. Thinking of either the Sig P220 ( scorpion) or a Springfield 1911  either the loaded or operator. Anyone have / shot these?  What's the good and bad. Even been kicking around getting another M&P only the in the C.O.R.E .40 cal. Thanks for the help Allen

Have the p220. Best pistol I've ever shot. Smooth, accurate and solid all around. Though I would like to add an operator to the mix at some point.

Both are big full size single stack .45's..(though there's a double stack version of the sig now) both are good, just comes down to whether you really want a 1911, or you want a lighter aluminum frame double action..

Do you own a 5" all-steel 1911?
If not, the choice is easy.

.  I have a 4" Kimber and really love the 1911's that's why I'm thinking of picking up another. Just saw a P 220 and thought about getting something different.
