Sold my M&P.45 today so I need a new pistol. Thinking of either the Sig P220 ( scorpion) or a Springfield 1911  either the loaded or operator. Anyone have / shot these?  What's the good and bad. Even been kicking around getting another M&P only the in the C.O.R.E .40 cal. Thanks for the help Allen
Anyone that thinks a Glock is better than a 1911 paints his toenails.

Have the p220. Best pistol I've ever shot. Smooth, accurate and solid all around. Though I would like to add an operator to the mix at some point.

Both are big full size single stack .45's..(though there's a double stack version of the sig now) both are good, just comes down to whether you really want a 1911, or you want a lighter aluminum frame double action..

.  I have a 4" Kimber and really love the 1911's that's why I'm thinking of picking up another. Just saw a P 220 and thought about getting something different.

springfield you cant go wrong there, I wont own a sig they have put a bad taste in my mouth a few times and it was not from the quality of there product they do make good guns but the customer service was horrible.

You won't be disappointed, its a tough one to beat for a production gun.
