Last Weekend's Grouse Hunt
« on: October 03, 2013, 06:18:38 PM »
Last weekend's grouse...

The wife got her first kill and the dog got her first flushes and retrievals.

She might not look like a good bird dog but she's a heck of a good dog to have in the truck and when you're trying to locate a grouse in the brush.

I love my life.

They both make my life a whole lot better.  She surprised me the other night with jalapenos stuffed with grouse and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon.  Sinfully good.

She's nine months now.  She's still pretty squirrely when birds are around but she does a great job retrieving and she's calming down and learning to "point" much better.  She actually sits ans stares instead of pointing   :chuckle:

Yeah she's the same as in the avatar.  She's 50% rat terrier, 50% english cocker spaniel.  100% bravery, 100% killer
