Tonights Ruff....
« on: October 03, 2013, 06:43:36 PM »
Took the dogs on a long walk and on the way back we got this nice little bird, we didn't have a camera on the walk, so my daughter proudly held the grouse for everyone to see.  First bird of the season for me since I can only get out after work....sometimes evening can pay off!

Awesome . Grouse is a great way to get kids involved. Besides being fun and sometimes pretty easy (when you can find them) they taste great .

Nice looking Ruffy Leanne...congratulations!

I got several Ruff's over east while elk hunting, but they're much more gray then the westside birds.

Very nice, I've gone out several week ends since the season started. I'm finding out its hard to hunt Grouse alone. Only saw two the whole time and they were gone before I got my shotgun up.
