Buddies bear

Buddy got this bear last night. I helped him with it this morning, all I can say is this thing is huge! All of you internet police will disagree, its a given but I was there. We put this bear on the scale with guts in and it came in at 404 lbs, 7ft nose to tail. I have never seen so much fat in my life! This was his first bear, shot it between the eyes 50yds up the hill off the road. A central washingtin bear.

from the 1st pic to the 2nd it looks like the dad and a cub.. Terrific kill and still a tank of a bear. congrats

So he gave me a backstrap, any tips on how to cook it?

I'm sure someone with more experience will have advice , but I've been told slow cooker. Some way that will get the fat out. I hear stews good too. I've only done sausage.
