Help!? WY public land DIY archery elk suggestions for 2014
« on: October 04, 2013, 09:05:29 PM »
Next year I plan to make a trip to WY for a DIY hunt on public land for elk in September. Was curious if there was any pointers or suggestions out there.  People to call? Who to talk too? We plan to hunt walk-in only gates. Mountain bike in mile after mile after mile for a rewarding hunt. Not asking for secret spots just curious if anyone out there had any suggestions.

Thanks guys

Ive researched this state over the past couple years I have bought just points. I have spoken to a couple of guys in WY that told me if your purchasing points and a bowhunter it was a waste of time and money. The general archery hunts hold the same quality animals. I was told to concentrate on Deer region H and G for elk.

Also if your going in solo and staying have some serious options for dealing with grizz in the units
