Dog kennel

I have a wire kennel for my dog I am planning on using for the back of my truck. All the covers out there seem to show the plastic variety of kennel when shown in the ads.

Is there something wrong/unsafe about these wire kennels in the back if a truck?

Anyone use a wire kennel with a cover?

Saw one strapped to a flatbed trailer with motor bikes . Had two dogs in it and they looked happy? :dunno:
