Way to go, he will remember that deer for the rest of his life. Will more than likely kill bigger bucks in the future but the 1st one is never forgotten.

Oh yeah, forgot to say in the story that the 1st shot did hit him, clipped the top of both lungs so it would have been enough, but we both thought he had missed so I told him to shoot again. He must have inhertited that from me, I have been know to throw a little lead downrange, ecspecially when I was younger, which sure feels like it was along time ago!!!

Good job!!!
It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Sarcasm: The ability to insult stupid people without them realizing it.

My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity...

Sarcasm makes smart people laugh and stupid people mad.

When we were kids our Old Man would say " Shoot until he hits the ground, goes out of sight, or you run out of shells". Looking back, that probably wasn't bad info for a couple of 10 and 11 year old boys.

Swell first deer!

Get a green score on him yet?  Those are cool little spikes.

Yeah his 1's are a little weak and the outside spread is what killed him.

Tasty little deer and it sounds like Trent has a cool head for a young hunter.
