Sitka......same gun for me in .270..........can pack that thing for a long time.

Yup, they're a pleasure to hunt with. I worried a little about kick with the light stock when I bought it, but it's not an issue at all.

Deer opener I'm going with my custom DPMS AR-10 carbine in .308Win with a Leupold Mil dot scope shooting 150gr Hornady Interlocks



For my backup a Left Hand Savage 10 in .243 Win. shooting 100gr Handloads with a Leupold VX-2 glass and Harris Bipod.

I always bring a back up!

Elk- Left Hand Browning A-Bolt in .338 Win mag shooting 215gr Sierra's pushed by 71grs of H4350.  Edited to add. and NO Muzzle Break

Back up Elk/Deer Rifle Left Hand Rem 700 BDL in .30-06 180 gr Scirroco Handloads.

Lots of Lefty hunters!

Okay Sitka.......now I gotta post a pic.......this is the quickest one I could find.........spring bear this year. It does kick like a mule....I put a good limbsaver on it and I'm good to go..

Thanks......I've had people offer to buy it on the spot but don't believe I'll get rid of it until I shoot the barrell out. It has two bears and a whitetail to its name....more to come.....

Normal Elk and Deer rifle is a Rem 700xcr in .300WM.

Took a buck a few years back with a Model 71 in .348.  My dad had one in the old days and I wanted to take a buck with it.  I'll attatch a pic of the .348. 

Previous years have also bagged a few bucks with a Model 760 .270, a Model 94 30-30, and even a couple bucks with shotgun slugs.

My favorite is still the xcr though...

1964 Remington Woodsmaster 742 in 30-06. Originally purchased by my grandfather, now in my hands, and will later go to my son.

Nice looking gun.

Started w/ my Rem. M700 .30-06 open sights. Had a .303 British for my back up.  When I got the  :twocents: Picked up a Nikon 3-9 for the Rem.

This year will be my .308 AR w/ Leupold 2-7 VXR and the .30-06 is the Back up. With the .303 being the Back ups Back up

The .357 GP100 for when the SHTF and everything else breaks.

Remington 700 Mountain Rifle in 7mm-08. LOVE that little tack driver Killed this buck and yoter within a day of eachother. Yoter was at 350+ yards. Buck was 15 yards  :tup: My nephew will be using it this year and hopefully dropping his first buck with it :)
