DUDE! Have I got the spot for you!

Of course you didn't say anything about being cited for trespassing or reckless endangerment...

just drive up to where you see rigs parked...park right next to them and follow the foot prints...when you see them set up...ask if this is a good spot. If they say yes your set!...lol

Agreed.......look for some gates and just get there early.....hang out, sip a brew....then when the other nice hunters show up just follow them right up. Chat them up along the way and make sure you know which deer they want to shoot and which deer they want you to shoot. Easy as pie. Oh, take extra beer for everyone....they will probably have knives and other non essential gear. Good luck and post pics!

Bellingham city limits, little hunting pressure, big bucks, short range stalks & shots, paved streets and fairly flat dragging back to paved streets.

Is busch light the right kind of beer to take people for when they show me their spots? And we don't need a garbage bag in national forest or treefarms right? Just toss empties in the brush?   :yike:

That works.....as long as they are tall boys....folks be making fun of you big time if you bring shorties. Besides....without a few empites how are you going to sight in your rifle?

The tall boys help me relax alot better too! That way I can make the long shots easier. I try not to shoot a buck under 500 yards. I like a challenge when I hunt. Course I make sure the quad is gassed up and ready to go chase him after I hit him sorta.

No need.  When you buy the .30-06 at Walmart they boresight the Simmons for you which is good enough to hunt deer with.  Wouldn't hurt to take a practice shot or two tomorrow morning though.

If you see me tomorrow, stop and say hi.  I'll be driving a 1-Ton Chevy or my buddy's 3500 Dodge Mega Cab, both lifted 6" with 30" tires.

I've got a question though... If I buy some of that Deercaine or BuckJam stuff and put it out tonight, will the deer be coming in regular by tomorrow morning?

They would have to be there by tomorrow jonathan! Have you see the commericals for that stuff! I already got my 3 day harvest out so I'm sure to kill a booner in 3 days. I completely forgot about walmart boresighting my gun. That just saved me some bullets!

Sweet, I'll pick some of it up tonight then.  Hope FatMart still has some left.

Then I'll maybe get a few hotspots to check out from the guy at the sporting goods counter

So I've got a question.

If My 3 buddies and me see a buck, and all jump out of the truck and shoot it at the same time, who tags it?

Last season when this happened we went off who drank the most beer before the buck was shot.

How do you guys decide?

Simple........can't believe you are even asking!

Buck is spotted..........everyone jumps out........begin firing.........first one to finish their rounds chugs a beer. Last guy to finish his shells chugs a beer.....those two guys then play rock paper scissors....winner chugs a beer, loser looks for deer....when deer isn't found loser chugs final beer....back in the rig....repeat.

Sorry for the edit..quick tip for those newbies...........a .30-06 or .270 round is pefect for poking the hole in the lower part of the can.........shotgunning is easier with a cleaner hole in the can.

Good question.  I've never actually shot a deer so I can't contribute.

Any experts want to chime in and help this guy out?

This is clearly a trick question.  Obviously, the guy who tags it is the guy that never jumped out of the truck and shot it first, fifth and seventh from his lawnchair in the truck bed.

man you guys dont know nothin, the kid that has never been huntn tags it even if he dont shoot it that way you can keep huntn and not have to go home and do stuff, well thats what we do anyways, or sometimes if someones passes out then we let them tag it and when they wake up we say damn dude nice deer you tagged, it goes over like a charm

Yeah arrows are too expensive anyway.  I think people actually do just shoot for the heck of it though, I used to hear way to many shots to be real during modern.

If you're looking for the best spot, to shoot the biggest buck, walk in to your local Cabelas.  Once you reach the middle of the store, shoulder your rifle and look around.  You'll see a lil' hill in the middle of the store with some dandies on it!  Commence shooting!  Heck, there'll probably even be a lawn chair or two you can relax in, after all the hard work!

So I've got a question.

If My 3 buddies and me see a buck, and all jump out of the truck and shoot it at the same time, who tags it?

Last season when this happened we went off who drank the most beer before the buck was shot.

How do you guys decide?

just drive up to where you see rigs parked...park right next to them and follow the foot prints...when you see them set up...ask if this is a good spot. If they say yes your set!...lol
as sarcastic and funny as this is, I think people do this.    FOR REAL

Good question.  I've never actually shot a deer so I can't contribute.

Any experts want to chime in and help this guy out?

That's why we only buy one tag at a time. Saves more money for beer and we don't have to fight about who has to tag it.
