Salmon Getting it on - Pilchuck River
« on: October 12, 2013, 11:53:41 PM »
Guessing they were chums spawning on the gravel bars near Lochsloy.  No time to wet a line unfortunately :bash:
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

I do believe the pilchuck is closed for salmon year round and doesnt open for fishing until dec 1st for steelhead. So no need to  :bash:
Judge if you want, we are all going to die.

Like I said, just looking yesterday.  Glad I didn't pursue further, not sure I would have checked the regs or not - My memory  was confusing S. Fork of Stilly and Pillchuck Creek (Stilly Drainage) with Pilchuck River.  Neat to see the fish spawning though.  I am always amazed how shollow they will get to "do it".  Guess some are exhibitionists  :dunno: :P
