Maybe because you basically said you tried to shoot a coyote and missed and therefore he deducted that you were out scouting with your shotgun and based on that it "sounds like" you were hunting.  He sounded like he was only informing you in case you didn't know lol.

This is in a bear hunting section on the forum, you opened up another thread asking where it was open for bear and someone told you pack forest, and now you have this thread saying you tried and didn't see any. Scouting or not, it sounds like he was just informing you it wasn't open yet, don't get so defensive

wasnt meaning anything by it. just saying since you poste under a bear section not coyote section. but you do seem pretty defensive over not so much.

In this same line of thought, is it legal to hunt bears in Washington with an electronic call? I've looked in the regulations, and I've only been able to find a passage that says it is illegal to hunt deer and turkey with an electronic call. It says nothing about bear and predators. I take that to mean it is ok to use one. Am I off base here?
