Hunter's first season!
« on: October 13, 2013, 01:55:13 PM »
I'm so proud of my son, and wanted to share his success. He passed his hunter ed class this spring, and promptly put down two nice turkeys. He could hardly wait for his first deer hunt. He had practiced his shooting all summer, and finally it was time for deer season. He told me he was going to shoot the first legal deer he could, and he did just that. Got a nice little doe opening morning, with one well placed shot. It was so exiting for the both of us. Well here's some pics.

Congrats!  Love hunting with kids.  All mine are grown but there is never a shortage of kids that need help.  We are hoping to get a 17 yearold his first deer before he heads to boot camp!

i'm a hunter ed instructor and don't remember this young man in our class (we're on the wet-side and it appears he is on the dry side)...but it feels good to see youth hunters on their first year having success....keep up the good work!  nice to know the tradition lives on
