Congrats bear hunter on an opening day kill. I also am lucky enough 2 draw a desert tag starting Saturday and have yet 2 see a buck that wide, although a few 20" bucks were seen. Hopefully us rifle hunters can keep up the good luck!
Thanks. Good luck Saturday I can't wait to see all the bucks. I will be ELK HUNTING for a week starting Saturday

South side of I-90, west of the Pier 4 Resort where the fishing signs are at might be a place to start.
Wow that's a nice one. Thanks for the great picture. I am sure he is on some ones HIT list  :chuckle:

I have been scouting for my son and have yet to see a monster.  the biggest has been about 25 inches. have spent 15 half days looking.  half days cuz I cant walk all day.  there isn't as many deer in desert as people think.  I don't know if I will apply there next year.  mike w
25inche is a trophy in my book.

Here is the shed I found in the same area about a mile away. I think it my be one of his sons. It looks like a younger/smaller left side but I don't know.  :dunno:

There was actually 3, all darn near the same size. I just couldn't get my camera focused fast enough. At first, I thought they were elk.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I agree a 25 is very nice but a 30 is nicer.  a 25 will be the last couple of days shooter for sure.  we will look hard the first for 4-6 days for a monster.  and best of luck to all you guys out there stomping around in the sand.  mike w

Plenty of bucks still out there. Saw over 25 while coyote hunting out there yesterday and also pulled cams that have been soaking out there for two months. Hundreds of pictures of bucks.
