you will be happy with them im sure. This is the 4th buck shot with this same gun with the same load and never once had any issues. My nephew shot his 1st 2 bucks with it the 1st being 376yards on the 1st shot and it hunched up and stumbled to 404 where he hammered him again and dropped it.
It does a number on coyotes too! :)

1-9.25 my dads factory chambered 6mm with the same barrel will not stabilize the same bullet. My .243 I can get the vld's to touch the lands where he cannot.

Not to highjack....buuuttt, are available .243 factory loads out of a 22" bbl effective to 300 yds on most deer, assuming a broadside shot?

I have never shot factory loads but now days you can buy factory loads with Berger bullets and other high quality bullets so yes!

300 with a .243? I'd not hesitate. to the OP, great shooting little sister!  wasn't sure I understood your post about the 6mm. so he has the same bbl and twist rate and it won't stabilize? or ?
I just aquired a Rem 700 lefty in .243 and hope to so some coyote and deer hunting with it

Absolutely! Just pick a heavier bullet designed for deer sized game. Not a 55 grain varmint bullet or the like.
