Great shooting!  Congrats to your sis.

Great shot. No bashing here as I really love the Berger VLDs as well. I've taken several elk and deer and a bear with the 300WSM 168 VLDs and they perform flawlessly. From the looks of the heart you definitely have the load dialed in!

I shoot Berger VLDs out of my 7mm.  Sweet bullet.

Great job.  I killed a buck many years ago well over 500 yards with a 243.  Great deer gun.  As far as shooting long range, like stated above, it's the shooter, not the gun and it looks to me like she can shoot!

300 with a .243? I'd not hesitate. to the OP, great shooting little sister!  wasn't sure I understood your post about the 6mm. so he has the same bbl and twist rate and it won't stabilize? or ?
I just aquired a Rem 700 lefty in .243 and hope to so some coyote and deer hunting with it

He also has a Remington only in 6mm with the factory 1-9.25 twist. My gun also has a factory Rem barrel only its a heavy barrel and the gun was built by Gordy Gritters so the chamber is alot tighter than my old mans 6mm which will not stabilize the 95gn VLD.

My gun is also a switch barrel, so its also a 22-250, but I just got another 22-250 so I could just leave my scope and everything set up.

You'll get ZERO negative comments on a  perfectly heart shot  deer at 520 yards, only accolades, shows you and your gunner were both properly prepared through research/practice.I've read many times where the .243 is a marksmans rifle.

Thanks guys, I thought for sure I would get some bashing.
