Anybody take a buck in the kapowsin tree farm?
« on: October 13, 2013, 07:56:41 PM »
Anybody get one this weekend?  Heard plenty of shootin.  No bucks seen by me.  Think all 1200 permit holders were road hunting behind the bridge gate.  My blind in the edge of a clearcut with normally dead spur roads sorrounding it were full of crew cab diesels.  Hopefully it will quiet down up there.  If not its back to ML deer hunting.  First year of modern for me.

We skipped it yesterday to go duck hunting, went up today and almost got a shot at a buck right off the bat but he didnt give us enough time.  Saw one other doe and shot a grouse.  Picked some chantrelles, and enjoyed the day. Pretty quiet overall, plenty of dudes on the road until the Seahawks game then it cleared out.  I still think 1200 permits is too many.
