Excellent job! I did the same thing with a 30-06 through the ear but was lucky enough to drop him with a 2nd shot.

Awesome job Robo-Daughter...  I like the pre-punched hole for the tag..  So it is perfect that you harvested it this year.  Now maybe the nubbers will come out and play...  Can't wait to see it....

Congratulations.  That .50 cal. hole in the ear makes me wonder about the guy who works at my local grocery store.  He has that same hole in his ear.

That's awesome!  I love seeing these stories.  As far as the hole in the ear, I took a buck about 7 years ago that had a bullet hole in it's antler.  I ended up mounting it and kept the bullet hole as it was.
