These are some of my favorite pics to see from members.  What did you find when you walked up to your deer this year?  Pictures taken "As He Lay" when you found him...

I'll start with mine.

I thought Oh God, this is going to suck, how am I going to get him boned out.  I figured it out, but it took a while.

I shot a nice buck in Montana in 2010 that was on a steep, snowy ridge.  He dropped dead but took off like a bobsled on the steep slope.  He ended up upside down with his rack caught on a log about 2/3 of the way down the drainage.  Total elevation drop was over 500 vertical feet according to my gps.  Would have been a sweet "as he lay" pic, especially if I could've got the long blood streak and slide trail in the pic  with him.  I was convinced walking up his rack would be broken but it surprisingly suffered only scratches.
