KCCO

The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.
Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms, 1929

Here are some shots of mine.  First is the view when I first spotted him.  [Edit - messed up the order - don't have time to fix now...] The next is as he lay, but with rifle holding up antlers - so close enough I think.  Not a drop of blood other than a bit coming out of the mouth.  Could not even see an entry wound. Since it was a straight on shot, I felt around on the around near the base of the neck.  Found a tiny hole, but no blood.  But after opening it, massive damage.  Found the remains of the mushroomed bullet lodged in some bone fragment way in the back of the body cavity.  Liquefied the lungs - dropped in in his tracks.  Best part - all 4 quarters were in perfect condition

Heres my Entiat buck I got Saturday. Hit him in the neck at a slight down hill and angling away. 220 yards with a 7mm mag. Bullet went through the base of the neck. blew up both lungs broke 2 ribs and I recovered it near the spine clear to the back of the body cavity. It lost a ton of blood through its mouth and nose.

I took this whitetail at 25 yards or so, jumped at our feet and I was ready, one shot from the .358 win. And he was spinning around, hit him right down the rib cage going away from me, broke 8 ribs and exited the front shoulder breaking the front right leg, he flopped and rolled and staggered another 25 yards and I put another through the lungs and he was down.

This is what I saw when I walked up to him.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
