Well, I have never met you, bu I know the "story" of the "no story buck"...

You've been deer hunting for 20 years.  Your first priority is to feed your family.  You took your young son on a hunt so you can pass along your passion to him.  You parked your truck and began to walk, because that's how hunting is done, not from the window of a car.  You knew where to look, because after 20 years, that kind of thing becomes second nature.  You spotted a deer, and instead of blasting away at him out of range, you calmly worked your way into position to make a shot that you were comfortable with.  You killed him quickly and cleanly, took care of the meat and the trophy, and honored the animal by showing him to all of us on this site.
That's the story.  That's what your son will remember.

Nicely done.  Well deserved.

Thanks for putting it in perspective.  That's pretty much how it happened, and hopefully how my son will remember it too!

Agreed! Well deserved and good for you! I have some crystal clear memories of moments on hunts with my dad and we never once killed a deer! Your son will not forget. Post up the mount when you get him back if you can remember, its a beautiful buck.

Nice buck Travis, I won't tell the score, but most people need QUALITY TAGS. For a buck that scores what this one did!  :tung:

The second pic almost looks like an optical illusion, where the deer's head is bigger than his body lol. Great buck, congrats!
