Sneak boat plans
« on: October 16, 2013, 08:01:56 PM »
Has anyone on here ever built a sneak boat themselves? I am trying to figure out a cheap way to build a sneak boat for duck season. Im just curious if anyone has ever tried to build there own, and if it was worth it?

I built a devlin bluebill around 2004.  It's been a fun boat and deadly in the salt marsh. There is a pic of it in myself post from Monday.  I would not call it cheap though.  Think the cost was around 4k.  Also depends where you are hunting.    Check out duckboats.net.  pm me if you want more info.

Buy a aquapod. You wont be disappointed. You can come out and paddle mine around and see how nice they are.

But he still has his. He may still have the plans. Would take about 2-3 weeks max.

I was going to build a duck boat, then I was going to go buy the beavertail boats final attack.... I really wanted a sneak boat.... Couldn't figure out what I wanted, so I grabbed my inflatable dinghy off my sailboat and a bunch of spray paint, camo-ed it up, and it looks great, plus it's really comfortable to lay out in because of the fact it's inflatable, it rolls up and can fit in the trunk of a car too, plus because the boat is deep (high sides) I disappear right into it, and with a home made flip up blind, it can't be beat

I paid 100$ for the boat, 50$ in spray paint, and threw it together with what I had laying around the garage. Not pretty, but highly functional and economical

Check craigslist, I think the boat I have is called a quicksilver 270, but I'd get the next size up, not much room with all the decoys and gear. I put a 4hp on it, and it definatley gets the job done.
catch it. kill it. cook it. eat it.
Forget the bear spray, use wasp killer. Concentrated delivery stream, 10X the product, and only $3.00 on sale.

I smoke two fish in the morning, I smoke two fish at night, I smoke two fish in de afternoon makes me feel alright
