.17 HORNET

Why not gain 100 yards, 600 fps and reload your brass. Very cool and fun playing with this little reload.

shot the gun yesterday, put fifty rounds through it at 100 yrds,20 grains...best group was 1",there was an 8 mile hr wind..Im shooting off my tailgate,I dont use any of that fancy stuff just a coat and a sweater for a rest...Im thinking 20 grain is a little light in any wind at all,my average group was about 2 to 3"..THAT DOES NOT MAKE ME HAPPY....Today I will run the 25 grains through it...I do like the gun,the one thing I do not like is the clip, very cheap and I do worry it could fall out,Im going to get a hold of savage on that...with the 3x9 leupold I put on it, gotta say great and Im happy, and boy the set up is light..The gun is worth what I paid in my mind,Im gonna have a blast with it....Cant wait to see what the yotes think about it

they still have a lot of ammo at the big r here in colville.  if youre having trouble finding more i could pick up whatever you need and swing by vantage on my next trip west, would be no trouble, just let me know.

I would be concerned with the vertical stringing.

I was at The Big R at 10:30 or so. Did you ask for a map or something and Bill told you Clarks might have it ?

rasbo,

I've seen a lot of the 17WSM ammo at the Big R store in Omak, so maybe they have some in Moses Lake. Give them a call if you haven't looked there yet. I've been hoarding and have over a 1,000 rounds waiting....

Campmeat

The Big R store manager in Omak is a good friend of mine. He is an outdoorsmen deluxe. I really like that store in Omak!

Glad to see positive reports Rasbo!!
