Anyone want to hunt birds?
« on: October 18, 2013, 05:05:18 PM »
Is anyone interested in some East side quail hunting this weekend?   :hello:

I know… short notice.  But my duck hunting plans fell thru with another member who’s still after his deer.

I’m thinking quail because I don’t have decoys. I have a Yakama Res permit or can go where ever. Let me know soon.   If you have a dog I'll buy you a beer or two after the hunt!  :IBCOOL:

Ok, 0 replies poured in!

I'm heading to the Yakama Res early tomorrow (10/20/13). If anyone warns to meet up, let me know.

We were there last weekend, slowest I've ever seen it.  Not many birds flying, hope its better this weekend.  Quail and pheasant was alright though.

Hey Carl, wish I saw your message sooner. I would've invited you along for the E-Side pheasant opener. We headed over for the day. However we hiked many miles for only one rooster and no quail. So you didn't miss much. Nice day to be out though! Good luck!

The LT area outside of selah has a few chucker up there. We jumped some last Friday. Saw at least 20.

Let me know next time you want to go. I just started looking at the Yakima area. I have scouted the reservation area but haven't spent much time there. I have a pointer that does pretty good, just wanting to find quail, chukar, pheasant that is decent. I can take a day here or there whenever within reason. PM me and let me know what you are thinking.

Wish i would have seen this earlier.  I live on the east side and love bird hunting.  These I just got yesterday...ended with 5 total for the day.  Hit me up next time you are over this way, would love to hunt with someone other than myself for a change.
