Late Tag's
« on: October 31, 2008, 08:16:25 AM »
Just wondering who still has a late hunt? I bumped into WACATHUNTER at Lowes and him and his dad both have the Entiat Late Modern that opens this saturday!!! He is stoked!!! He was headed up yesterday to do some scouting. I might be in the same area with my camera.  ;)  Good Luck to all!!!

I'm heading over to Quilemene in the morning to scout for two days. The Buck hunt opens on Monday. This last week of work has seemed like a month. Time is going to slow so I took today off to get ready for next week.  :chuckle:

My brother and I have Grayback tags. We're planning on heading out next Friday morning, and plan on being there for ten days or until we fill both tags.

bobcat---- I had that grayback tag the second year they gave it out. That was a really fun tag. Lucky you, you get ten days to hunt we only had four back when they started to give out that tag. I tell ya we had SOOOOO much fun...
Let me know how ya do!

Yes I'm hoping it will be a fun hunt but I am a little unsure because of the big drop in success rate last year. The permit success rate went from 60 something in '06 to 18% last year. Not sure why but I'm hoping it was just due to unfavorable weather or something like that rather than a lack of deer. The season is actually only 8 days long. We are going to have three full days of scouting prior to the opener on Tuesday, the 11th. Then we'll have six days to hunt. I'll post pictures of our success or lack of success.

Newbie here, just found this site.

I have the late Entiat archery tag, and I don't think I'm counting down to the hunt as much as I'm watching and wanting the snow to fly prior to.

Great site, and good guys it appears.  Looking forward to hearing how the rifle hunt goes...

Good luck!

Got the lake Swake tag with my bro-in-law.  Headed out in a few hours to give this weekend a try.  No weather yet so I'm waiting for the snow to hit before I give it too much effort.  Maybe I'll get lucky and find an early mirgrating buck.  I'll report back on Monday.

What should I do? call him on it or bait him and call the warden?

How did he know you owned the property, is he an acquaintance?

Its also pretty easy information to get ahold of, including the phone number of the property owner. Just got done doing some of the same looking trying to help my cousin fill her elk tag tomorrow.
