My sons find and a blacktail
« on: October 19, 2013, 02:05:37 PM »
My Dad got 2 Land owner priviledge tags this year for his property in Oregon. I can shoot either a blacktail or a columbia whitetail 2 point or better. I have been eyeballing this buck (whitetail) for about 3 or 4 years now. I didnt see it in about a year or so. So on opening morning I take my 7 year old with me and we head out. We get to almost were we wanted to hunt and he says "DAD!  Look at this".  I was about to tell him to be quit until I seen what he found. I couldnt believe it. It measures 21" across and it was the deer I was looking for this season. Anyway, I ended up taking the biggest blacktail I have ever shot with my son with me. It was a great year.

Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

That is a masher Columbia whitetail. I always like watching them show up at the sportsmans shows.

Thansk you to all. I was very humbled by my son finding that skull. He's hooked for life on hunting now.
