Getting Frustrated - Land Access
« on: October 19, 2013, 06:00:29 PM »
Hello all,

I am fairly new here, and somewhat new to WA. I live in Spokane, and I cannot seem to find any decent access with any hope of success.  I tried the WDFW gohunt map, and have been trying to figure out who actually owns the feel free to hunt lands, as I got kicked off of what was supposed to be feel free to hunt land. I tried to find out who owned the land listed, but I have no idea how. Either way, if anyone knows anywhere that I am allowed to actually hunt, preferably around GMU 124, I would really like to get out in the woods with my 7 year old. Also, any advice on any more reliable access sources that I could use, rather than gohunt. It was really embarrassing taking my boy out for the first time hunting and getting kicked off of a property. Thanks in advance guys.

The email is czuber14@my.whitworth.edu

County assessor website will give you landowner names and addresses and sometimes a phone number of all properties in the county. Good luck!

"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

What you don't see on there is the little blue dot that shows where you are. My location is not currently on that screenshot.

Yeah, call the county and get the county land assesors phone number. They should direct you to some sort of an online interactive mapping program and be able to tell you how to use it. It will show who owns what parcels and should give longitude and lattitude coordinates.good luck.

You guys are the best. Thanks to everyone for the advice. I will definitely be looking into everything you guys have directed me towards. Also, I just found the section on the website that is dedicated to this question, so thanks to everyone who provided advice rather than getting on me about posting in the wrong area.

Lookup Spokane County Scout.  Excellent program the assessor has for land ownership.
