Here is a strange question and I almost feel stupid for asking it but while out yesterday I spooked a HUGE chocolate colored bear off a gut pile (whole carcass) and am wondering if this bear might return to the carcass especially this late in the season when they are trying to lay in the reserves?
I realise the the taste of the meat might be influenced by what it has been eating but the size of this bear would probably make book and the color phase is what I am after already have my 350 pound solid black.

I have 5 days worth of video from a dead cow moose with the same bear on it each day. Seems they don't like it once the maggots get going, but fresh and afterwards when nothing but skin and bones, they love it!

What is the WDFW rule on baiting a bear with natural bait? anyone know?
"By God, I are a mountain man, and I'll live 'til an arrow or a bullet finds me. And then I'll leave my bones on this great map of the magnificent"

Since he didn't place the bait there he's good.  If he had dumped a bucket of guts 50' from his treestand, it'd be a different story I believe.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Interesting looking "gut" pile, more so when you blow up the pic...but hey who am i to say....
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
