The late blackpowder season is when we usually see the real big boys in 501. Getting hard to find open gates in our old stomping grounds though.

yeah its fun hunting in november, the late buck mod fire is usually good to us. Weyco took out a good portion of our longtime hunting grounds, refuse to pay $250 to access.

I've spent 6 full days hunting the Lincoln unit this season, plus a few evenings after work, and have not even seen a doe.   :bash:

Is that part of the pe ell pass. I was going to check out that unit and not sure where to go but don't want to go down there and find out it is all closed to permit holders only.

I have been seeing the does, saw 3 today on my way home, wish it had a late archery season. I know of some very nice bucks that hang out in the Christmas tree farm near me.

Yeah, all ive seen are does, we like to hit the timber hard, but i need some rain to help us out, to crunchy in the woods right now. i hunted sat. and sun. saw 7 deer only two in the woods, the rest were in private fields, and saw 6 on sunday all in fields. We have hunted hard in the mornings, then in the afternoons its turned into mushroom picking adventures. I was able to fill a grocery sack with Chanterelles in about 30min time, both days in two different spots.
