That's AWESOME! My wife gets to try for her first elk on Dec. 1. I hope she does as well.

Load was factory Rem. Core-lokt.  Haven't had time for a hand load yet.  Spent last three days in the mission.  WOW!  What a tag.  About 6 in. of snow up for the first two days, saw 12 bucks, one 30+ 3pt., one very nice clean 4X4, one nice 5pt. and one VERY nice 5x5 that was a definit shooter, but we couldn't find him once we got close enough for a shot.  Today, woke up to 4 inches of wet snow at camp and rained and snowed all day, but we did see three bucks today, one very nice 4pt.  Gotta work the next few days and then back at it next week.

we let one even bigger than that walk too.  But we did see a real toad though, hopefully we'll find him again.
