Nice deer!  Wish I could save some of his genetic material to transfer to our does out here, hmmm, might be an interesting science project for my son....   :chuckle:

Your more likely to get wolves transplanted than deer Loki, but than again it wood make for a great middle schooler science project that the state might fund. Wonder how long 3-5 bucks, and does would take to change the genetics of your Island?

I just dropped my head and cape off at the taxidermist. He looked the deer over and pointed out all the bumps, scars and torn ears on him. Both of his eyes had scars or fresh damage around them. He said he had never seen a deer with so many battle scars in all his life. Apparently I shot the neighborhood bad ass. He was either the baddest deer on the mountain or he thought he was a bad ass and continually got his ass kicked. Either way he was not afraid to fight. He was also very old, not much left for teeth. RIP my good friend, it was an honor to match wits with you.

Lookie what I found. Devastating I tell ya. This is a 12 g 385 g Nosler hollow point. It hit the deer in the neck left of center, absolutely shattered 4 vertebrate then exited and lodged under the right shoulder blade.
